The government is not there to fix genocide and riots and economic failure, if you've been paying attention it's been the cause of plenty of it. Now, it's also stopped plenty of it as well, but it's not their fucking responsibility one way or the other if you ask me. It's strictly to "protect the people", at least in theory.
