One of my least favorite trends on Tumblr is how America is wrong about everything.

This is probably one of the dumbest examples of somebody trying to push that agenda. Hiroshima, is the in-completed text, as anyone should know. Why did Hiroshima happen? To end WWII. Did it work? Yes. Were we bombed first? Yes.
Was the USA right in releasing a nuclear weapon that they knew was also going to harm tons of innocent people? That’s essentially asking the exact same question: in war, is it right to be strike back after having being stricken first? I’ll let you answer that question. If you are unsure of the answer, well at the least this joke will at least not be as funny to you, ‘cause it wasn’t a very good one.

Start worrying about real problems, like your own life.

Megavideo, a company based in Hong Kong and run by a German chap, got shut down by the American government.

Sorry, since when did you have the right to shut down other country’s shit?

Hmm… maybe when they started stealing stuff from Americans?

What I hear from so many of you fucks is “wah wah we want our free shit!”

Piracy is not fucking cool. I don’t care if your shit is free, you don’t understand the first thing about right and wrong, let alone economics. Shit is not free. It should not be free. So get the fuck over it.

kicksterflixter:

Even though I agree with this, I still recommend (and encourage) watching films in theaters. Mainly because I feel that it’s just better to see things in theaters.

This is bullshit. Misleading, deceptive, and a terrible attempt at justification of not wanting to pay for an immensely inexpensive product. While I agree that corporations, and the industry and general should learn to adapt, you are still stealing by downloading. It’s a fact. The people that write the music aren’t always the ones that own it, the record labels do, and I may be siding with “evil corporations” here, but you hurt both parties by refusing to pay for it.
And even when the artists do own the music, and do allow you to download, there are usually versions of the music you can pay for, which they would prefer. This is a rare scenario, though, as most artists need the support of people to buy their CDs, and many who don’t still do not approve of the downloading.
Articles like this perpetuate the same thing they denounce, the media trying to twist your point a view a certain way. This is a very misleading article trying to represent a basic point, that change is good, but is not a justification or perfect representation of the scenario at hand.
Fight for something important, please. Not your right to not pay for music ever.

“Oh my gosh, like, Obama! Ya know?”

In short, politics is nothing more than an image to us.

Arguing about politics is like arguing the color of the sky, strictly because we are not aware who is truly responsible for what decisions are made, and political conversations always end up with “well it’s _____ fault, and _____ needs to fix it”.

The only way anyone will ever change anything is by promoting what they believe in in their daily life. I sincerely doubt writing letters to your congressman and voting (despite how I do vote) is really what makes the world go round. They don’t, we do.

Live a good life, stand up for your beliefs, and things will fall into the right place.

Have you ever heard

The phrase “an authority on [artistic medium]”

Just an FYI, it’s bullshit. Art (music, film, literature) is subjective by nature and critiquing it with intended definition is inane.

Whatever you think is good, is good, to you. And that’s it. Nobody else.

I like being numb

I don’t do drugs, I don’t exactly drink, yet I as everyone have way too many ways to just numb out. Let love take over? Play video games until your eyes hurt? Watch movies to forget who you are? What the fuck is wrong with us?

I don’t read about how fucked up the world is like I used to. It’s like I don’t wanna hear it anymore, like I just want to numb out. What is wrong with me? Am I that apathetic? Do I have better things to do? (I’ll answer that… no.)

It’s also hard to be creative and filter your thoughts for something good when there are so many ways to veg out. There are so many creative things I could do with my time but I don’t. And I know why, too. It’s because I have a television, and netflix, and an xbox, and a laptop. I really need to learn how to regulate my time better. Back when I lived with my dad, in his house he borrowed after he divorced, there was no internet, I didn’t bring my laptop, and I spent a lot of time writing and exercising and getting out of the house. That shit was just so great. Why don’t I do that more? Why am I here right now? It’s time to get out of this place and fucking do something. Or stay in here and do something, that’s not just waste my own goddam time.

Time to start the writing I so foolish stopped.

It’s thinking like this that’ll make us so fucked up. I didn’t even laugh when I read this, my face cringed. Notice the anti-depressant’s smiley face. Anti-Depressants are NOT good for you. The average human being should NOT need them, and they are for people with unhealthy and unnatural chemical imbalances, and even then I think it’s debatable. The world is the most beautiful place there is, it’s the people on it that can make it depressing. Fuck this comic.
