thewillbrennan:

“I, Samael, am not in need of henchmen or followers, but only imitators of my doctrine: Gnosis. I do not follow anyone, nor do I want anyone to follow me. What I want is for each one of you to follow his own Self. I am only a lighthouse in the sea of existence, and I do not need clientele in order to subsist. Since I am against the slavery of souls, I do not want to enslave any soul, nor do I agree with executioners of ideals. Masters exists in abundance, and I am only one of many; thus, those who want to find the Masters will find them inside, within the profundities of their own inner consciousness.

"Freethinkers are those who are willing to use their minds without prejudice and without fearing to understand things that clash with their own customs, privileges, or beliefs. This state of mind is not common, but it is essential for right thinking…"

"The role of the artist is to transcend conventional wisdom, to transcend the word of the establishment, to transcend the orthodoxy, to go beyond what is handed down by the government or what is said in the media"

10011:

One is an individual insofar as he can afford it. He may boast of his self-reliance and his admirable personal views and his exemplary idiosyncrasies, but the shadow of the system still clings closely beside him.

“As he can afford it.”

So the real question is, how much are people willing to spend on independence?

If it’s anything less than EVERYTHING, then you are right. But I wager there are a select few who will give up nothing to be themselves and not a cent less.

It’s rare though.

Never lose faith

That you are more powerful than the enviroment around you. Today I saw something happen in public which was really not cool, and it made me think pretty negatively of my environment, along with the confirmation-bias of “ofcourse I’m not doing good in this shitty place: just look at that!” but it only took a few seconds for me to realize how not true that is. I was just convincing a friend the other day to not move far away because she thinks it would solve all her problems. And my reasoning was because no matter where we are, or what we’re surrounded by, we have the ability and even the tools to be happy and succeed. Even to be comfortable. No matter where you are. The tools are within us.

It may take more self-control, more hard work, more discipline, and more fighting the evil surrounding you, but it’s possible anywhere. If there’s something you can’t or truly should not do, it’s not because where you’re doing it, but what it is that you’re doing.

Have faith in yourself.

Individual?

Whenever a conflict arises,

there are always two of me,

arguing and fighting about which decision to make.

~

One is always stronger than the other,

or maybe bigger, or can fight longer,

because two people are never exactly the same;

Even if they’re made up.

~

Now sometimes there’s a third person,

even deeper inside,

who knows which one should win.

But it turns out usually,

the odds are not on him.

~

Now even when that happens,

what will it take for that to be?

A weaker a victor against the stronger,

When both strengths are assigned by me?

Everything you know is wrong

Dubstep is fake. It’s not a real genre. You’re just a sheep.

Celebrities are stupid by nature. If you waste time giving them attention, you perpetuate the demand for stupidity.

The news is all second-hand. Journalism is a profit based industry, not a humanitarian effort.

Any narcotics (coffee, pain pills, weed, alcohol) in excess make it harder for you to think, making it harder for you to succeed. It’s not cool, and doesn’t make you more attractive to anyone.

Any nation’s system of economics heading away from laissez-faire (i.e. towards socialism) is an obstruction of the natural laws of economics and the destruction of the economy of the individual, but not the government, giving too much power to regulation, which leads to the inevitable destruction of a nation. (This is a big one).

I can push this and say any regulation of an industry is the inevitable destruction of it, as natural laws of competition are what keep products of quality and keep companies strong and valuing their good employees, and not rewarding the bad ones, as regulation tends to do.

Santa is not real. Neither is Scientology. College text-books are a scam (order international versions online). TV is bad for you.

Everything you’re afraid of is good for you.
