Too bad some of the news “stories” that are being churned out by the media industry often tackle about the “personal” lives of people, all the while forgetting substantial details on the collective idea of an issue. Hence, viewers can be subjected to rampant voyeurism. A small dose of sensationalism and Schadenfreude-esque “entertainment” could be enough to manipulate whole masses, even if both the personal and political aspects of an issue have been addressed. “Specific” visual aids are a vital part of these.
