"What happened? Where are the honest critiques of cultural expression? For it’s not about being RIGHT it’s about being HOT. Fame over self-awareness and virtue. Hedonism over self respect. Celebrity over cerebral. A destroying force in our culture and society just like rest of the useless vapid spectacles that pour out of our tv’s and radios. What are we supposed to be learning from you? What is your point? Do you have a point beyond corporate sponsored distraction? Your a materialistic shell of your former self that can only identify with celebrity pageantry and instant gratification. Corporate garbage pushing plastic lifestyles and wasteful, destructive behavior into the brains of the youth of the world."

I think “watching the news” is one of the stupidest inventions of the 20th century.

All that I hear when the news is on in my house, is people yelling over one-another. And then in the background, there’s feed from other people yelling. It’s all so fucking obnoxious, and it doesn’t give any answers. It just likes to report the chaos.

I’ll go on to say anything that has to bend its content for ratings is probably not of very high quality in the first place. I believe this is the reason most television is so bad, because of what television is by nature. A tool created to please as many people as possible, as mindlessly as possible (because that’s what sells).

I’d much more prefer reading a newspaper, or looking at articles online, to learn of my world events. Not like I give that much of a shit, anyway.
