Dear Everyone:

Please do not mock people for having faith. Faith is an incredible trait and beautiful thing, and that is not where people fault. Mock people for ignorance, and believing radicals, and not having any sort of independent thought outside of what something else tells you. Having faith in something does not mean you are ignorant or a fucking douchebag, but it may so happen that something you believe in, a bunch of other douchebags also believe in. That does not make them wrong, and grouping people is just as wrong. Which leads me to my next point.

Please do not judge others. It is true: we all will judge people. But the point is to intentionally try to open your mind to every type of thinking that is not your own. You will learn a lot, and I’m pretty sure that judgment almost always comes from an ignorance of another point of view.

Please treat the working class with respect. If the McDonalds worker, who seems to be really stupid and probably uneducated and maybe even a jerk, messes up your sandwich, do not treat him like he’s all of those things. Give him the benefit of the doubt, and ask nicely for them to fix whatever it is. If he gives you shit then, then you can get mad. It’s not really recommended though.

This goes for everybody that has to deal with you. If you’re a customer anywhere, for anything, the employee is talking to you because they have to. Not because he/she likes you, or thinks your cool, or cares about your money, because the person you’re talking to is probably not getting your money. In all likelihood, they probably hate you, for talking to them. So be polite. It might actually make their day better, and they might make yours better by giving you good service.

For yourself: please do not be afraid to break the quota once in awhile. If you normally have the same exact routine every day, change it up. Just for the fuck of it. You don’t need a reason. Do things differently, go somewhere else, say something different, do something you wouldn’t normally do. I promise you will get something out of it. It will make your day better.

Thank you for reading. Thank me later.
